Närs lighthouse is located on the Närsholmen peninsula in southeastern Gotland. It is a place with a special character, savanna-like nature. The lighthouse was built in 1872, made of iron, it is about sixteen meters high and is red with three narrower white bands. In 1961, the lighthouse was automated with electric/valley lights and the staff was brought in.
