Landsort Lighthouse is located on the island of Öja in the municipality of Nynäshamn south of Stockholm and is Sweden's oldest preserved lighthouse, built in 1689. The lighthouse is white with a red roof.
The lighthouse is about 25 meters high and has a long history of coal-fired and pilotage. It was modernized to electricity in 1938. It was automated in 1963 and is an iconic pilotage point in Stockholm's southern archipelago.
