The flag of Thailand consists of five horizontal stripes in the colors red, white, blue, white, and red, with the central blue stripe being twice as wide as the others.
Thailand's current flag, the “Trirong”, was introduced by King Rama VI in 1917. The new flag featured three colors, red, white, and blue, and was designed in conjunction with Thailand's participation in World War I.
Red stands for the nation and the people, white for religion, and blue for the King as the country's head of state.
