Spain’s flag consists of two narrower red horizontal bands at the top and bottom, with a wider yellow band in the middle. The flag features the country’s coat of arms within the yellow band, positioned slightly to the left.
The coat of arms symbolizes the historical kingdoms that together form Spain. It includes symbols representing Castile, León, Aragon, Navarre, and Granada, as well as the House of Bourbon. The columns on the sides bear the motto "Plus Ultra," Latin for "further beyond."
