The flag of Saint Lucia is light blue with a black triangle in the center, edged in white. Within this triangle, there is a yellow triangle at the base.
The flag was designed as early as 1967, but it became official in 1979 upon independence. The basic design was retained, though minor adjustments were made to the shade of blue and the proportions of the triangles.
The triangles symbolize the twin volcanoes found on the islands.
