The flag of Niger features three horizontal bands of equal size: orange at the top, white in the middle, and green at the bottom. An orange circle sits within the white band in the center of the flag.
Each color holds a specific meaning: the orange band symbolizes the desert, the white represents the Niger River and purity, the orange circle in the center symbolizes the sun, and the green stands for hope.
The flag was adopted in 1959.
