Flag of Malawi.
The flag size refers to the flag's long side, the height varies as nations have different proportions. Colors and proportions comply with the regulations of the selected country.
The flags are sewn or printed on woven, matte polyester. Appearance may vary.
They are of the highest quality for outdoor use and can, of course, be used indoors as well!
Recommended flag size for flagpole:
- 30 cm with loops fits a 62 cm wall-mounted pole or serves as a guest flag for a boat. These measure approx. 20x30 cm.
- 75 cm with loops fits a 122 cm wall-mounted pole. These measure approx. 50x75 cm.
- 150 cm with loops fits a 6 m flagpole, suitable for use as a handheld flag, for graduation celebrations, or at matches.
- 240 cm with plastic clips fits an approx. 8–10 m flagpole.
- 300 cm with plastic clips fits an approx. 12–14 m flagpole.

Malawi's flag consists of three horizontal bands in black, red, and green, arranged from top to bottom. A rising red sun appears on the uppermost band, which is black.
Malawi's flag was officially adopted in 1964, when the British colony of Nyasaland gained independence under the name Malawi.
The red sun symbolizes the dawn of freedom and hope for the African continent.
